Candy Shorts is not a separate company. It is the series shelf inside Candy.ai, and Candy.ai is owned and operated by EverAI Limited, a company registered in Malta. That settles who owns Candy AI. The Terms of Service dated September 22, 2026 name the company and send disputes to the courts of Malta, which is how a real operator writes a contract.

The paper trail goes further. Eleven legal documents are public on the platform, from the Privacy Notice to the Underage Policy and the Complaint Policy. The plans page says the charge shows up as EverAI on your bank statement. On October 26, 2026, the home page linked official social accounts, all named trycandyai, across five networks, plus a Discord invite. This site is independent, and its buttons are affiliate links, as the disclaimer explains.

Is Candy AI safe? What the rules cover

Think of the age gate as the ticket booth. At the door you declare that you are over 18, and the Underage Policy adds that further checks can apply where local rules ask for them. The platform states that its content is AI generated, and the creator series use licensed digital twins made with the creator's consent. Then look at what is banned. The Blocked Content Policy, revised July 30, 2026, rules out anything that resembles minors, deepfakes, non-consensual intimate images and deceptive impersonation of real people, and the company sends reports of known child abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A real person who spots content that looks like them can ask for it to be removed. Complaints get an acknowledgment within 24 hours and an answer within 7 calendar days.

So is Candy AI trustworthy? On the business side, the part I can read and check, yes: a named company, dated policies and rules you can quote back to support. A policy cannot protect you from your own habits, or from sites that only borrow the name. That is where the risk lives.

Candy AI refund and cancel subscription: what to read first

I do not quote refund rules on this page, because they live in the Terms of Service and can change. For a refund, the terms of Candy.ai decide, so read them before you pay, the way you would read the fine print on a ticket.

To cancel a subscription, open Settings and choose Unsubscribe. The plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and the next period is not charged. Canceling is also the safest habit with any plan: set a reminder a few days before renewal, because the plan rolls over by itself at the same price and length. The Shorts do not force a subscription on you, and the free pair does not ask for a card. A reminder is free, while a missed renewal costs a full cycle.

Is Candy AI a scam? Where the real risks sit

The platform charges what it shows and says who it is. The trouble starts at the edges, and it comes in three forms.

• What you type. The Terms ask you to keep financial details, home addresses, contact information and passwords out of any chat. The Privacy Notice adds that moderation and language-model providers can receive the content of your messages, and that account data is kept for up to three years after you last used the account, with deletion available on request.
• Your account. It is personal, and sharing it breaks the rules.

Is Candy AI banned? The Terms do not ban any country, but they make you responsible for following the laws where you live. They also let the company suspend or close an account that breaks the policies. If you only watch, the exposure is smaller: the help center says the Shorts do not touch your chat history.

Is Candy Shorts worth it? My call

Legit, yes. Worth it depends on the first two episodes. I opened episode 1 on a free login and the token counter stayed at zero. I hold Premium now, and the tokens I spent on later episodes left my balance at the prices shown on the series page.
