How does Candy AI work? Messages, tokens and Premium
How does Candy AI work in money terms? A free account sends at most 5 messages to AI characters. Premium lifts the text cap and credits 100 tokens a month, and tokens pay for extended features such as image generation and voice notes. Candy AI chat: what five messages can tell you
The Candy AI chat is what most people mean when they type the name, and it is the part a free account barely samples. Five messages is one coin in the slot: enough to see how a character opens, too little to judge a long conversation. On Premium the cap is gone, and whether a character keeps you talking is taste, so this page scores the limits and the price, not the charm.

Why I test the Shorts first
The Shorts are the cheap way into Candy AI because the numbers are fixed and visible. Here is the token math on October 26, 2026:
- The free pair, episodes 1 and 2: zero tokens.
- A 5-episode series at 12 tokens a paid episode: 3 × 12 = 36.
- The same series at 30 tokens: 3 × 30 = 90.
- Premium's 100 monthly tokens: two standard series at 72, with 28 left. They spend on any series, Spicy ones included.
- YES MA'AM, 30 episodes: 28 paid × 12 = 336, over three months of those 100.
A good first pick is Room 742, five episodes with the standard 36-token finish. Or aim at the long haul with YES MA'AM and see whether 28 paid episodes can hold your attention. Each open series gives you two free episodes before the paywall, so the first look is free. When I pay to continue a standard series, the balance falls by 12 as soon as episode 3 opens, and the few five-episode ones I finished came to 36 each.
