Jake is a broke college student housesitting for his best friend, Tyler, over a weekend. Tyler's mother, Vanessa, is newly divorced, and what starts between her and Jake is a secret he cannot afford to have found out. Her best friend Dana soon knows too, which leaves Jake stuck between two women while Tyler's return gets closer.

A housesitting job with a hole in the schedule

Jake arrives at Tyler's place for the weekend and finds that Tyler is not coming home. His mother, Vanessa, says the plan has changed and that it is just the two of them. She complains that the house is like an oven and asks him to be a gentleman and help with her back, which she cannot reach. He agrees, stumbling over the words, and then reminds her whose mother she is. Her answer is to ask whether Tyler is there. He is trembling, and she tells him to relax.

Then the phone rings. Tyler checks in, asking if his mom is feeding him okay, and Jake says the weekend is fine. The next interruption is Dana, Vanessa's best friend, who lets herself in because the gate was wide open and asks who this tall drink of trouble is. Vanessa passes him off as Tyler's friend, there to help out. Dana is not fooled. The episode ends on her promise that the secret is safe with her, plus two words: "For now."

Episode 2: a price on silence

Dana opens episode 2 with a deal. She will keep quiet about Jake and Vanessa, and in exchange she gets a turn. Vanessa objects that he is not a plaything, and Dana's reply is that sharing is polite. The two women start to fight over him as if he were a prize at a booth. Vanessa claims him as hers, and Dana points out that Vanessa had him to herself yesterday.

By the end, the argument is settled. Dana tells Vanessa to enjoy him while she can, says Tyler can wait and that she has wanted this since the moment he walked in. Jake asks if she is sure. The last lines are a request to lock the door and a promise that tonight is all in. It stops at the locked door, which is where the next episode starts to cost 12 tokens.
