For a few days this Candy Shorts house belongs to two people: a father's wife and the grown stepson she has put up in the room facing hers. They share a bathroom, which keeps them in each other's way. She sleeps with her own door standing open, and that is no accident. He knows exactly what the open door means and tells her out loud that this cannot happen. She answers by owning who she is. He is a grown man, she is an adult woman, and the series treats them that way from the first scene.

Episode 1: breakfast first, then the bedroom

The stepson comes down, and his stepmom greets him in a tank top and underwear and starts on his breakfast. Breakfast is the cover story. The scene is built to show you how at ease she is in her own skin and how much he is trying not to look.

The story then jumps to that evening. He goes upstairs and surprises her alone in her bedroom, in a private moment he was not meant to walk in on. She does not send him away. She pulls him into the room, and the two of them end on a kiss.
